It all started with an article...
This article, I’m referring to talked about the differences between French and UK mortgages
The article compared; the different types of mortgages available, mortgage rates, eligibility criteria, consumer protection as well as re-mortgaging a property.
I remember reading that article and being shocked at how badly the UK mortgage system seemed to really help people.
The word mortgage literally translates to ‘death-pledge’ in French.
I will add though, that in hindsight, it’s now pretty obvious that this particular article may have been skewed to favour France over the UK.
The article made me think about how many people have made bad financial decisions simply because they lacked information.
But I still had one question;
How many people have made bad financial decisions because of a lack of information?
With this question in mind, I quickly shared the information, from the article, on Instagram, also feeling compelled to create Wealth Talks.
